When the siren sounds in Independence at 3:30 in the morning... 25 of your neighbors TURN OUT... the rest sleep safe and sound.  The Independence Fire Department is a volunteer organization.  Volunteers are always welcome!

Breakfast fund raiser held the 2nd Sunday from 8:00am - 11:00am of each month except July and August.
Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.



Have you tested the battery in your smoke detector lately?
Teach children that matches and fire are not toys.

  • Class C: Energized Electrical equipment including wiring, fuse boxes, circuit breakers, and appliances.
