Dog License Reminder

The State of New Jersey requires that all dogs be properly licensed with the municipality and that a door to a door census be performed to identify any unlicensed dogs.

Licenses must be renewed by January 31st of each year. Failure to license your dog will result in additional fines and penalties.

If you own a dog that is not currently licensed, you must do so immediately. Licenses may be obtained from the Deputy Clerk, Monday thru Friday, from the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 P. Proof of a current rabies certificate must be valid thru October 31 of the current year and neutering/spaying papers (if applicable) must be presented at the time of licensing.

The census taker will be issuing summonses for unlicensed dogs after May 12, 2008.

If you have any questions in reference to licensing your dog, please contact the municipal building at (908) 637-4133 ext. 1012.

Dog License Fees:  $8.00 neutered/spayed $11.00 if not neutered/spayed $5 late fee per month starting in February for each dog.
